The BikeErg Desk: Just one way to get your workout in at Concept2!

Finding time to exercise can feel more difficult than the workout itself. Here at Concept2, our employees have found many ways to schedule fitness into their busy work days.

Even though Concept2 gives employees flexible hours and scheduling, we still need to juggle exercise between taking phone calls, building oars, shipping orders, having meetings, and other tasks and responsibilities. While some of our staff work behind desks, many others are on their feet in our warehouse, shipping and production areas. Even with a workout room easily available, it can still be tough to find time.

The SkiErg offers a great full-body workout engaging arms, core and legs. To get the most out of your workout, you’ll want to set yourself up for the proper technique. Technique starts as soon as you approach the machine and decide where to stand on the floor stand (or on the floor in front of a wall-mounted SkiErg).

Pepa Miloucheva graduated from Bulgarian Sport University in 1993 with a Masters degree in Physical Education and Sport Science. A member of the Bulgarian National Ski Orienteering team from 1983 to 1995, she was the 1994 Ski Orienteering World Champion. Pepa came to Craftsbury, Vermont, 22 years ago and helped start the Craftsbury Nordic Ski Club at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center with then-ski director John Brodhead and a few local parents and their kids. Four of those kids have since gone on to race in the Olympics in Nordic skiing and Biathlon. Pepa is now the ski coach of Craftsbury’s Green Racing Project, a development program for Nordic skiers, biathletes and rowers. Continue Reading ›
